How it works

1

You prepare a parcel weighing less than 30 kg.

Check the packaging rules or choose one of the pre-paid Colissimo Emballage packages sold in post offices in various formats (rectangular boxes, flat packs and bottle packs) up to 7 kg.

2

You fill out a waybill to stick on your package, whatever its destination. This waybill is provided by your post office.

  1. A Sender’s address
  2. B Recipient’s address
Use a maximum of 5 lines to write the address, preferably in capitals. Specify the building, the floor, the landing and the door code (if there is no free access to the letterbox).
  3. C Format
Write the reference of the chosen Colissimo Packaging.
  4. D Package number
This number allows your package to be tracked by computer. You can find out where your package is in the postal network at any moment.
  5. E Insurance stamp
If you would like an optional insurance up to a maximum value of 500 euros, 1,000 euros or 1,500 euros then this is where you should stick the insurance stamp(s) that you bought at the counter of your post office.
  6. F Proof of delivery
The counter clerk will give you the upper portion when you hand over your package at the Post office.

At any moment you can track your shipments in France and to certain European destinations (on the internet using e-COMO and via your mobile phone with e-COMO mobile by entering the parcel number that appears on the waybill).

6

Focus on a postal worker with parcels
Delivery of parcels is carried out with or without signatures, depending on the type of shipment chosen. If the recipient is not at home then a non-delivery notice will be left in their letterbox.

This notice indicates the address of the post office from where the parcel may be collected.

The recipient then has 2 weeks to collect the parcel. After this time the parcel will be returned to its sender.
