La Poste is committed to
"Making the Web and its services available to everyone, whatever their hardware or software, their network infrastructure, their mother tongue, their culture, their geographical location or their physical or mental abilities" (extract from the definition of accessibility adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium).
The laposte.com site of La Poste adheres to La Poste’s accessibility policy for handicapped people and seeks to optimise access to information and to improve the quality of existing and future services.
The key players involved in the implementation of accessibility (including BrailleNet and the W3C) have contributed to the production of an accessibility knowledge base published by the DGME (Department for the Modernisation of the State) within the Ministry of Economy, Finances and Industry. The laposte.com site of La Poste was developed to meet the "Silver" criteria (equivalent to the AA level of the W3C/WAI) of the DGME’s knowledge base.
