Redirection and holding

If your business is moving or is closing temporarily, you can use the La Poste online redirection service.

In just a few clicks, you will be able to subscribe online to a mail redirection service, or ask you local post office to keep your mail by for you.

Temporary or permanent international redirection makes it possible to have your mail (up to 2 kg) forwarded, either permanently or temporarily, from your business address on the French mainland to a foreign address anywhere in the world.

Permanent National Redirection from La Poste forwards all mail that is sent to your old address to your new business address in France.

The Mail keepsafe service means that all the mail addressed to your business while it is closed will be kept for you.

    This password is specific to a given contract. It gives you access to one contract only. It must be between 6 and 10 characters long.

An activation code for your contract is sent to you by recorded delivery to your main address (within 3 working days). Ensure you are able to receive this letter.

    The start date cannot begin earlier than 5 working days time for bank card payments or 10 days for payment by cheque or direct debit.
    The start date must be a working day (Monday to Saturday not including public holidays).

    The confirmation of the start date will be given when the activation code for your contract is entered.

    Duration required*: The duration of the Permanent National Redirection service is from 12 months, month end to 24 months, month end.

    The end date is automatically calculated from your start date. Your end date will be provided following the stage after the Verification of information.
