How to prepare your package

Choose suitable packaging

• Pack the product that you are sending in a strong cardboard box that suits the contents.
• Make sure that nothing sticks out when wrapping the package: avoid using string, flaps or handles.
• Avoid using packaging that is too complicated.
• Ensure that the package is stable by wedging, filling and spreading the elements so that nothing knocks around.

Note: badly packed goods will not be accepted. It is forbidden to tie packages together using string, tape or other such means.
Standard packages are defined as follows: Length + width + height less than or equal to 150 cm, with length less than or equal to 100 cm.

Packages must be no heavier than 30 kg (10 kg for shipments to and from military postal services, as well as shipments to Overseas Territories).

Fill in the waybill properly

• Fill in all of the fields of the waybill. All of the information is essential.
• Write legibly, avoid deletions and the use of plastic film or pockets that might make it harder to read the information.
• Stick the waybill down flat on the widest side of the package. Don’t fold it or spread it over 2 sides. Don’t place any sticky tape over it.
• For shipments to or from Overseas Dependencies or internationally, make sure that you have attached all of the necessary documents so as to avoid any delay or refusal on the part of the customs services. To find out all about customs formalities, click here.

   Use a maximum of 5 lines to write the address, preferably in capitals. Specify the building, the floor, the landing and the door code (if there is no free access to the letterbox).
3. Format
   Write the reference of the chosen Colissimo Packaging
4. Package number
   This number allows your package to be tracked by computer. You can find out where your package is in the postal ne2rk at any moment.
5. Insurance stamp
   If you would like an optional insurance up to a maximum value of €500, €1,000 or €1,500 then this is where you should stick the insurance stamp(s) that you bought at the counter of your post office.
6. Proof of delivery
   The counter clerk will give you the upper portion when you hand over your package at the Post office.
